Course aim

To expand students' knowledge of mainstream psychological interventions to include esoteric and/or advanced specialised interventions, the evidence-base for these interventions, their application, and research support.

Course content

Students will be introduced to specialised psychotherapeutic interventions including, but not limited to motivational interviewing, family therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, schema therapy, hypnosis, ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), and trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy.

This course will be taught by specialists in the areas of each therapeutic technique.
