Course aim

To enable students to develop practical work-related skills in marketing and to gain a greater insight into the marketing profession.

Course content

Workplace experience in a marketing organisation under academic and industry supervision; reflective review of that experience at regular intervals; analysis of the role of marketing within the relevant organisation; evaluation of marketing activities undertaken during placement; analysis of challenges in applying marketing theory to actual marketing situations; and analysis of personal development required to develop the marketing skills necessary within an entry-level marketing role.
