Course aim

To develop an understanding of the concepts of language, culture and learning and the interrelationship of teaching languages in schools.

Course content

Students will investigate and reflect on key concepts of language, culture, and language learning as cognitive and sociocultural activity. The students will explore the application of principles of intercultural language learning and the role of interaction and the influence of learner life-worlds in language learning.
