Course aim

To introduce students to the fundamentals of game design and construction.  

Course content

This course will have three components covering the major areas of game design

  1. Game design, design approaches for different classes of games, flow
  2. Programming in a widely used development environment. Development of graphics games in 2D, Basic sound generation, Game architecture
  3. Game AI Concepts, path finding (A*),  zero-sum-games (Minimax), rule-based systems, and simple learning mechanisms
