Course aim

To continue to develop students’ in-depth understanding of structural principles in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete structures. To enable students to use advanced analysis and design techniques in concrete structures

Course content

Overview of pre-tensioned and post-tensioned design. Analysis and design for flexure, serviceability and losses. Application of these techniques to bridge design. Research advances in concrete design.
