Course aim

The aim of this course is to develop students understanding of and skills for research, with emphasis on the relationships between research and evidence based practice.

Course content

Relationships between research and practice, evidence based practice, steps in the research process, developing questions, advanced literature searching, qualitative and quantitative research designs, data collection, fundamentals of data analysis, outcome measures, critical review of research literature, reporting the results of critical review and research, ethics for research and information management.
