Course aim

The aim of this course is to develop an understanding of epidemiological principles and methods and including managing and analysing health data using a common statistical package (SPSS).

Course content

Descriptive epidemiology; analytical epidemiology; measures of association; epidemiological study design; health data sources; data management; disease risk; causation and bias; descriptive and inferential statistics; data analysis.
