Course aim

To provide an extension of knowledge in electronic measurement and equipment calibration, data capture, plane surveying calculations and information presentation. To extend knowledge of GNSS data capture and processing techniques for control and topographical surveys.

Course content

Land surveying data gathering skills, error detection, analysis and elimination. Electronic surveying instrumentation. Electronic distance measurement theory, equipment use and calibration. Trigonometrical levelling. ICSM levelling guidelines. Applications of electronic field-to-finish systems. Volume determination. Advanced traverse computations and adjustment techniques. GNSS surveying techniques and data processing.
