Course aim

To expand upon experimental approaches into the practices of art and design.

Course content

Students will gain further knowledge on experimental and non-mainstream media at the intersection of several disciplines, including new media, visual arts, design and cultural studies. An interrogation of “light” realities (low production costs, small distribution costs) as well as how traditional art and design media and techniques may cross-over into new digital realms and reframe existing notions of space and time. Students will also explore the post-medium condition and the refiguring and rearticulating of the making process.
