Course aim

To provide students with the ability to map and interpret the geological and environmental evolution of landscapes.

Course content

Interpretation and construction of geological maps; structural analysis in the laboratory and field; digital mapping, remote sensing of Earth materials; mapping the evolution of land surface features such as soil and weathering profiles, water course changes, and dispersal of environmental contaminants.
