Course aim

To develop students' awareness, understanding and competencies involved with teaching and coaching individuals or groups in sport.

Course content

The students will develop an understanding of the role of the teacher and coach, philosophical positions, teaching styles and methods, methods of training, planning or programs, management and professional practice. Students will develop skills in teaching and coaching methodologies, instructional processes and strategies of meeting needs of diverse populations.
