Course aim

The aim of this course is to prepare students for entering the workforce as an Occupational Therapist.

Course content

Strategies and skills for career development. Contemporary issues in the workplace including types of employment, conditions of employment, supervision and performance management, risk management, legislation, registration, continuing professional development, role of professional organisations and educational programs in the development of knowledge and career pathways. Continuing professional development and professional portfolio management. Supervision skills in practice. Contemporary practice skills.
