Course aim

To develop students’ ability to apply research methodologies and practices to an appropriate architectural research topic defined in Architectural Research Thesis 1.

Course content

Students will advance their knowledge in architectural theory, technology, practice and/or environmental issues through individual research. Students will develop research and communication skills through a written thesis, a research project with a written outcome, or a design project supported by a written synopsis. The formal research proposal undertaken in Architectural Research Thesis 1 forms a basis for the research project.
