Course aim

To enable students to complete a research thesis that is informed by Aboriginal world views and meets both Aboriginal community and UniSA standards for research and reporting.

Course content

The students will be able to address a specific professional discipline such as education, social work, health - that will align with an issue of interest to an Aboriginal community or communities. The students will also critique the role of research and its impact upon Aboriginal peoples and their communities. The research findings and the completed thesis will be presented to the relevant community group(s) and the University in appropriate forums.

Assessment in this course, together with work completed in Aboriginal Studies Minor Thesis 1, will contribute to the presentation of an 18,000 word thesis.
