To develop students' critical understanding of contemporary theoretical, conceptual and methodological issues relevant to the study of lifespan development.
Students will develop advanced knowledge of the theories of life span developmental psychology (including cultural and contextual influences on development, ecological systems theory, psycho-social development, psychological well-being, critical gerontology, and death and dying). Through critical analysis and research, students will understand the ethical issues relevant to these themes.
