Course aim

To provide students with an advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of the economic, social and environmental factors that influence and constrain projects throughout a project life cycle.

Course content

Students will study a broad set of inter-related theoretical concepts and practical processes across the project lifecycle including: Sustainability concepts; Cash flows; Investment decision rules; Complexities in financial analysis and managing uncertainties; Environmental policies and corporate practice; Accountability and resource saving; Climate change and disaster impact reduction; Environmental impacts and assessments; Social sustainability; and Social impacts, indicators and assessments.
