Course aim

To develop students’ understandings of teaching science and mathematics using an integrated approach appropriate for students in the middle years.

Course content

Models of middle schooling and their impact on mathematics and science teaching; integrated approaches to teaching mathematics and science; cross discipline, trans discipline and interdisciplinary approaches; how different curriculum documents, e.g. SACSA framework and International Baccalaureate, shape middle years science and mathematics.
