Course aim

To develop an understanding of the structure and function of the healthy human body as it interacts with the environment.

Course content

Scientific / medical terminology, level of body organisation; homeostasis; cell and its function; structure and function of cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, musculoskeletal, gastro-intestinal and nervous systems, relevant chemistry and physics concepts; physiological concepts in the context of client care.
