Course aim

To familiarise students with a range of research methods and methodologies appropriate to related specialisation in art, architecture, or design.

Course content

Students will develop advanced knowledge in the theories and practices of research methods and identify their application in art, architecture, or design as part of becoming an ethical practitioner. Students will apply knowledge and skills in literature searches or archival research, defining a researchable topic, writing the literature review and the research proposal, and issues and techniques in the design of small-scale research projects in art, architecture, or design.
