Course aim

To develop students’ understanding of the structural, construction, servicing and legislative requirements for the design of multistorey buildings.

Course content

Students will develop knowledge in multistorey building principles including introduction to typologies, structural and construction systems and methodologies, façade and cladding systems, and the integration of architecture with structure and services. Students will develop skills in the application of construction knowledge and legislative requirements informing the design and construction of multistorey buildings, and its communication through drawings, detailing, and specifications.
