To develop students’ mastery in applying design research and design processes, strategies, and practices to complex architectural design projects.
Students will develop knowledge of the physical, mental, spiritual, and ethical issues in design; symbolism, metaphor, tectonics, and technology and their integration in design; compositional theories, strategies, and techniques applied to the design and detailed resolution of complex buildings and urban environments; professional responsibilities to clients, society, and the environment; collaborative processes, and the professional team; social responsibility and the development process.
