Course aim

To enable students to apply the principles of heat transfer and fluid mechanics in practical applications and in the design of thermal systems.

Course content

Dimensional analysis and model study; Multidimensional steady state and transient heat conduction; natural and forced convection; radiation; boiling and condensation; heat exchangers. Introduction to compressible flow.
