Project Appraisal

Course aim

Students will have the knowledge and skills to conduct a project appraisal to justify a recommendation to a client.

Course content

Decision making and project appraisal; challenges of multi attributed decision-making; risk sensitivity; cash flow; time value of money; present worth evaluation; rate of return; estimating the benefit/cost ratio; identifying and quantifying non-financial benefits/externalities; strategic analysis; technical analysis; environmental analysis political analysis; social analysis post appraisal processes.
