Course aim

To acquaint students with the processes of long-term planning and evaluation of the mathematics curriculum as well as individual reporting and assessment strategies.

Course content

The examination of short and long term aims and objectives and the incorporation of national curriculum and other guidelines in the planning process; identification and the application of relevant teaching strategies; timetabling and an examination of assessment, evaluation and reporting –systematic recording of students’ achievements/needs in a variety of formats; analysis of student records; awareness of procedures for reporting to parents/care givers.
