Course aim

To enable students to integrate the theory of statistics and data analysis within the research problems faced in their field of study.

Course content

Data requirements and needs; experimental design and sample theory; hypothesis testing; distribution fitting; non-parametric statistics; data analysis software; statistical modelling; information theory.
