Course aim

To provide students with the knowledge and skills in operations management. On completion of this course the student should be able to understand the basic principles in operations management, develop a strategic framework for competitiveness, and apply appropriate techniques in the planning and management of operations.

Course content

Operations and Competitiveness, Strategy Formulation, Quality Management, Transformation Systems and Technologies, Aggregate Planning, Resource Planning, Lean Systems and Work Measurement.
